Dendrobium pendulum

This attractive species has mid-size, pendulous canes that produce clusters of 4–5 cm flowers with white petals, pink tips, and a bright yellow throat. A hardy grower suitable for outdoor culture in frost-free areas.

Care

• Light: Bright light, filtered sun; provide some shading in the hottest part of summer.
• Water: Regular watering during active growth, allow to dry slightly between waterings in winter.
• Temperature: Intermediate to tropical (10–30 °C).
• Media: Free-draining orchid mix or mounted on cork/fern.
• Fertiliser: Balanced fertiliser during growth; reduce feed when dormant.
